Walter Scott's Scotland
Sir Walter Scott, known everywhere as the author of Ivanhoe, romanticised the landscape of Scotland in the 19th century. Even in our era, the places and atmosphere he described is still there; it is just a matter of how you look at them. For this series, the basis are large format pinhole negatives, printed with a "split toning" of gum printing and cyanotype, both techniques dating back to the days of Walter Scott himself.
